I was given this site last week by a kibkomer
http://www.yts.com this site is all you need for your films, the links posted are very good for tv series.
You will need a download program I use Vuse it is free and easy to use. with yts all you need to do is register choose the film and press down load.
If you use the torrents that are listed above it can be difficult to choose the correct download button which takes you to all sorts of programs.

It may be easier for you to search on Youtube it has lots of "HOW TO" guides on there with loads on torrent downloading.

Instead of searching UTUBE go direct to YTC for films very easy to find and down load but you will need a download program live VUZE.
When you have chosen a film, click on download and VUZE will open and start to download.I keep mentioning VUZE as this is the only program I use.

For Johnny1:-
The films/tv series/software that you download via torrents are split into 1000's of pieces. These pieces are not stored centrally - they are stored on 1,000,000's of personal computers worldwide and you will automatically become one of them. A torrent file is simply a key to these pieces and also contains a list of the tracker computers that knows where everything is.
When you select a torrent a very small file is sent to your computer with the instructions for downloading - this file is understood by µTorrent (or Vuze or one of the many other download programs) which will automatically start up to manage the process for you. Your download program then contacts the various trackers to see who is online with your required torrent and assigns a number of them to start sending pieces to you. Your download program will then tell the trackers what downloaded films etc. you have on your computer and you will thus become a supplier (seed) as welll as a client (leech) - as soon as you start to receive them then your download program will start to send these same pieces to others around the world. The process does not follow the sequence of the film and you must let it fully download before watching.
I have a Multimax 15gb connection and a typical DVD movie (750mb) takes around 1 hour provided there are sufficient suppliers (seeds) online - an older movie might take days to get if there are only 1 or 2 seeds online but it will arrive in the end. If it stops don't worry - it will pick up again as soon as a seed comes online. A major movie (e.g. Avatar 3D Blu-Ray which is 46gb) will obviously take a little longer.
I hope this helps - I realise it sounds a little complicated but it is actually very simple to run. If you are between Girne and Karsiyaka I could come and set it up and give a tutorial if you prefer (no charge) - just PM me a phone no.

JBA, that's a great help thanks. Like others I was at a loss to understand torrents etc
& only ever streamed films. I use a site called cokencorn.com to stream to my laptop.
Could I ask is your detailed explanation only for downloading to a computer/laptop or
can the same method be used to download to an iPad. Thanks.

Very decent of you too!
If I can help in the Yesilteppe area PM me. If using MM connection its worth restricting the download during their peak time which I think is 4 till 12. Again if you get set up first someone will supply instructions or PM me and I will on how to do that.

Geordie - while I have no personal experience of Ipad, there are versions of utorrent for Windows, Linux, MAC and Android (e.g.
http://www.utorrent.com/downloads/android) and I imagine that, once utorrent is running, everything else would be the same.

Further Hints/Tips
Start with one download site only until you get familiar with the process - they each have their quirks. Probably
http://kickass.to/movies/ is the easiest. Clicking on a listing will give you a mass of information about it. If you wish to proceed then click the brown 'download torrent' button at the top of the screen and just below the count of seeders & leechers (as Kickass calls them).
All these sites tell you (for each item) the number of seeds and leeches currently available - generally choose the the most active for the fastest download. Remember - all leeches are all also seeds (they just don't have 100% yet) and they all have more of the movie than you, so don't judge it only by the number of seeds.
Be careful, each site is different and they all offer a direct download facility as well as download by torrent. When you click a selection then a Windows panel will be displayed showing the file about to arrive - ONLY ACCEPT IF IT IS A TORRENT FILE.
There is a second type of torrent called a magnet torrent. This is designed to protect your anonimity but that is not a problem in TRNC. However, sometimes that is all that is available (in which case fine) only a magnet torrent file doesn't offer the Windows dialogue box - it simply opens directly into utorrent (which is fine).

Her's another Kickass link...
https://kickass.to/
This will give you other options...
Movies
TV Shows
Music
Games
Applications
& More
You will see a "box" with a number on the same line as the TV/Film you may want to download,
these are comments, the higher the better ie 10/10
If you can't find what you're looking for,
just type in what you want in the search box, at the top of the page.
If you find a film etc that you've not heard of, check it out here...
International Movie Data Base
http://www.imdb.com/chart/
If it's music, check it out here...
All Music

Lots of tutorials on torrent downloading on YouTube johnny1 personally I wouldn't download loads of films as you'll only be filling your hard drive up (and they fill up quite quickly) there are film sites you can directly stream to your t.v. without the need to download massive files, i.e. -
http://cokencorn.com/videos/ they have been mentioned on KibKom before or
http://imtv.cc/Latest-Updates-TV-Series.htm , and
http://watchtvseries.se/letters/A , if you want to watch a series, connecting directly to your t.v. is straightforward and not that difficult as long as you have the right inputs/outputs on you t.v. and computer/laptop.
