Ordered our food asked the waitress not to have the bottle of water that they put on the table she grunted and off she went. Mezes came with salad and pitta lovely. Then the meat came but not all at once just a little at a time kofte chicken wing and some small pieces of chicken tasted lovely. This was followed by a small lamb chop 5 small pieces of pork between 2 of us and piece of the worst beef I have ever tasted could not cut or chew it. Anyway asked for the bill and told them our thoughts the bill came and yes the water we had refused was on it it was 58ytl for the two which would have been ok if the food was nice but sadly another one crossed off our list .tThey say they charge by the kilo well it's 60ytl for liver and 80'ytl for beef and pork but I have no idea what the cut of beef was it was just gristle.

I think the locals must like fat gristle and tough meat, we have encountered it so many times, I have heard so many bad reports about the establishment you mention, yet at night time you cannot get literally within 200 meters of the place to park, it is normally heaving, But my Cyp. friend reckons its just the place to be seen at the moment.

Our friends took us to Ambience a few years back, beautiful setting, standing room only , but possibly one of the worst meals eaten here, and thank god I was not paying, but again the place to be seen.

Went there with friends on Thursday lunch time 10 girls in all. Waited ages to get our first drinks,Then the meze came but no bread, arrived after we had nearly finished the meze. By the time the main course of chicken, lamb chops came, no salad left or yogurt. Asked for more ,eventually came. A friend asked for chicken wrap and was given liver! Tried repeatedly to get a waiter's attention. All in all the service was appalling and we will definitely NOT be going back. Incidentally it is called Dokmet Et

I've posted this before but the old Codbaba ,now called Redoplu,serves a very nice kebab which I think is terrific value for money.We got five mezes,a large bowl of salad and toasted pitta.The wife had chicken shish this time,two large skewers and I had mixed kebab which consisted of large chicken shish,lamb shish,adana kebab,lamb chop(which was very tender and juicy) and a seftalia.Both meals came with chips,rice,onion,grilled tomato,grilled pepper and more pitta.With three cans of pepsi,they don't serve alcohol,the bill was 50TL.
