Ticket price is 180TL (but first 250 tickets are being sold at 160TL) and includes a 3 course meal, unlimited premium drinks package and a full night's entertainment PLUS IT'S FOR CHARITY! Am I being cynical here or what but it does seem that when a star is fading it does it in the TRNC.

Well maybe we are all fading, but you have to be a star before you can become a fading star! So maybe most of us are not fading at all!!!!
I would like to meet Bobby Davro again, the clean side of him was fun! But not allowed to eat and drink with such fervor.

Anyway, fading or not, Bobby shines brighter here than many others!

Much as I admire and respect performers coming here to do "the business" I feel it is pushing it to describe Bobby Davro as a "comedy legend" all who want to please enjoy and it is in a good cause.

MrA. Maybe you feel 'legend' is a bit strong. However, if you had ever met the man you would know what a great character he is. Don't know if you live here, but comedians in TRNC are non existant, so for us this is a treat. I will be there and will thoroughly enjoy his performance together with his supporting acts. He will hve a full house

Sounds like it will be a great night out. Will definitely buy even if not sure I will be out in TRNC at the time.

Be warned, boss, in the events where there are no children, he is decidedly 'blue' and I am not sure your ears could take that!

As I said I would post after seeing him at Ricoh Arena Coventry on Saturday night,along with other acts. Bobby Davro was really good,not too blue but very funny. Very professional,got the crowd involved,of which there were 500 guests at a private function. I would see him again,not so soon after though. Whoever goes to the function should enjoy.

Becker - thank you so much for taking the time to come back and report as promised... and with a positive revue (and it sounded like you had a great time). Bobby Davro will tailor his act to the audience - I would suggest he will be slightly blue / risqué but he will be aware that he's not playing to a local rugby club!!! I understand why you can't make it but please spread the word and encourage friends and neighbours to come to the event and have a great time - early bird tickets are still available (and they are selling quickly). We've got tickets. Is there a dress code?

Dress Code - no formal dress code. Unlike our formal Poppy Ball in November this is a Summer 'fun' event and open to all. The weather should be nice in late May but it is planned to be outside (and we do have a plan for unlikely inclement weather) so dress accordingly. Are you able to say what the main course is. Just asking as My husband cant eat beef.

Thanks to those that have snapped up discounted (early bird) tickets - down to the last 50 so get 'em while you can (details at top of this thread). Normal price of 180TL is still attractive at current rates for a great night out, 3 course dinner plus drinks and supporting a great charity.

Unless I have missed something it seems strange that the organisers have not mentioned that there are three other acts performing that evening representing great value for money which just may appeal to some people who otherwise may not go ! just a thought regards Barry
