OMG why OH why do people say they want to buy something, make an appointment, don't turn up, make further appointments and still don't turn up!!?
Is it some kind of weird "hobby" or an indication of their personality?

Happens in a lot of times .
Same as ebayers ,some don't pay you after winning bid ,then you have to chase them up.
Lucky enough some folk are also genuine and want the seller to be genuine
The is nowt as queer as folk

Totally agree but this is not EBAY its North Cyprus and so small in comparison, so I reckon its perhaps worse here given the ratio we are dealing with.
Trying for a 'calm sooth' now LOL!

Same when I was selling my house there. One TC couple didn't arrive for a viewing appointment.
Phoned them to be told "But we are in Lapta! How can we be there as well?".
Told them not to bother coming.
I can just see them after the call saying "Aren't the British stupid? How can they expect us to be in two places at once?".

I won't but I could name and shame - it's a small part of the island - however that is not my character!
Had a super day at the car boot sale Pine Bay - such fun - only discovered when we were packing up that some sod had lifted a black bag of 6 beautiful cushions away ! And I thought we were being so diligent!
Yip the island is not what it was for sure!!
360 degrees for driving and for car boot sales! LOL!
