Thank you Panchocat, Dr Silem was soooo good to me when I had Lyme Disease and Vasculitis as a result, a couple of years ago. I shall definitely be using the new clinic in future.

More praise for Dr. Turk. I nearly blacked out yesterday morning and was extremely dizzy, went straight to the clinic and he saw me straight away. Diagnosed as Vertigo quite a severe attack. I was put to bed given a drip and went to sleep. After an hour he let me go home with a prescription. He did lots of checks for a stroke and did an ECG I have to return on Tuesday. Total cost 100tl.

I know that a lot of people praise Dr. Shilem who now works in the same NEU Clinic two days a week, and I have absolutely no complaints other than, her penchant for booking two or three patients in at the same time, is still carrying on as per the Green Clinic. Earlier this week, there were 3 lots booked in for her at 11am plus a Brit who had probably been given the same time over the phone. She walked in and jumped the queue and no one in Reception stopped her. So if you are a Dr Shilem patient, take a book or a Kindle and be prepared to wait anything up to an hour and a half (as we have done at the Green Clinic), because nothing has changed. Dr Turk on the other hand is more or less the opposite.

Why not mention your concerns to the Reception Desk. I am sure they would prefer to have one policy . I am sure they want to have happy patients regardless of the doctor who sees them. I would have been miffed in the circumstances,

Of course if Dr Turk is reading this, hope he takes it to heart and maybe tries to sort out a common procedure instead of having two in the same place.

We are still very happy bunnies with the help Alan has been given.

Love Dr Silem but it is extremely annoying to give 3 or 4 people the same appointment time you might as well have a walk in surgery with no appointments!

Slightly but Cyprus Eye Clinic do the same 2/4 patient all at 11.0am!!
Does Dr Silem have all her records with her, or do you have to collect from the Green clinic as per the Kolan?

Some people are in and out in no time and then the next person gets in sooner. No doubt if you were given five minute slots times and needed longer with the doctor people would grumble then too, complaining of over running or running late!
I think Dr Silem is a wonderful, caring doctor and it's not that stressful sitting in the waiting room. That's my opinion I know others will disagree but I use any waiting time as chill out time and relax. If someone was really ill or uncomfortable I am sure they would be given preference by most of us.
As a matter of interest I made two appointments with Dr Silem, a couple of weeks ago, for myself and a friend. Mine was for 1pm my friend's was for 1:15. So not altogether sure criticism is warranted.
I think the clinic is working extremely well and is a much needed facility which will eventually be offering twenty four hour service.

I may have been guilty of jumping the queue yesterday there were several people there already but Dr Turk took one look at my grey face and saw me first bless him.

Best to phone or pop in the the clinic to enquire.
They may well have them on computer by now, but best to check.

Deniz1, I would have no quarrel with your jumping the queue if you were desperate. My remarks were re Dr. Shilem who still seems to be telling Reception to book patients in at the same time. i.e. there were three couples all booked in for 11am and then someone else walked in, said that she had an 11am appointment and was shown straight in. So my remark still stays "if you have an appointment with Dr Shilem, take a library book" because the chances of being see anywhere need your appointed time are remote. No reflection on her expertise at all just her booking system.

Perhaps if you were to mention this to Dr. Silem when you next visit her she would take your concerns on board.
