Hi folks
we have been renting a villa east of girne for the last 3months or so but have decided it is time to buy so here is the criteria.

1villa or bungalow minimum 3 bedrooms.

2 must have seaview.

3Preferred location east of girne Catalkoy Ozankoy Dogankoy but open to suggestions

4swimming pool

5 Decent sized secure gardens or gardens that can be made secure

6Not essential but central heating would be nice

7 Offroad parking.


Someone out there has a property that will suit us so I look forward to hearing from you.

Unfortunately we are west - Incesu - but our villa ticks all your boxes apart from that. it is with North Cove. Garden secure enough for our dog!! Up the mountain with a terrific view of sea and coast through trees - but not too far up!! We have it with North Cove, and have just sropped the price.

Hi Bob, Have a nice three bedroom Bungalow in Ozankoy, ticks all your boxes except two, Sea view only from balcony and no central heating but has log burner, very secure private Garden and has garage.

Our villa ticks all the boxes EXCEPT that we are west of Girne! Great location, unobstructed sea and mountain views, 4 bedrooms (3 ensuite), large living/dining/kitchen, large fitted wood buring fireplace, secure garden, 10 x 4 mtr overflow pool, off road parking. Just at the end of the bypass, 1km back from the AlPet petrol station (known as "lower Edremit"!!!)

Bob, a suggestion for 2 more criteria. Title deeds for land and property thereon to be in the name(s) of the vendors and the property be of sound quality build and not a concrete sponge !

Brian thanks for that I had remembered the deeds but had forgotten the build quality mind you with the exception of your villa most of them here leave a little to be desired.

Bob, I thought it would be yours by now ! The Road is now tarmac to within approx 400 metres of the villa but the local "Belly" ran out of money. We hope they will have the budget to finish the job next year. Have added a log burner to add to/alternative to the central heating. Have also added an instant hot water at the turn of a tap system fueled by a small gas bottle which saves on water and electricity. The delays and expense of the electric immersion system for the winter is relegated to a reserve.

Addendum to what I said earlier!! The villa has a kocan in the name of my son, and I have his Power of Attourney to sell. It has 3 bedrooms, one en suite, fireplace in main lounge, central heating, a/cs in all rooms, downstairs shower room, largeish room off lounge (dining room or computer room - (was a bedroom but we had it altered), kitchen with views to die for, and alkl white goods, and is partly furnished, swimming pool, pergola over car area covered in grape vines, walled garden with roses and fruit trees, iron work sliding front gate. The Bel hasnt got as far as us with its tarmac yet, but its not too far away!! And as I said previously, it is on the books of North Cove (in Karonog...) who will be happy to send particulars or show you round - we have tenants in at the moment who's contract is up for renewal in a couple of months.

Our friends have a beautiful house in Catolkoy for sale, also it has all the requirements your first post mentioned, and many more.
I know they had an offer last week but dont know the outcome.
I do know the house is with North Cove, it might be worth a look.

My friends have a villa for sale. In Catalkoy, on the Simogen Site across from Midsummer House Rest.
It has 3 bedrooms, fantastic sea views. Gardens can be secured. Pool. Drive and car port for approx 3 cars.
