Girne Ensemble of Musicians and Entertainers (GEMS) are arranging the following events in aid of Tulips/HTWCA
If you are a past customer to the shows, whether performed by the GEMS, Kismet or to the original ChorusLambousa, I am pleased to advise that the next show – “A Night at the Palladium” – will be performed on 4th, 5th and 6th June (Thursday through to Saturday.). We would like to say that Saturday is now Sold out!!
The evening preceded by dinner will cover the history of the London Palladium in song. The Palladium opened its doors in 1910 and numbers will include songs made famous by artistes such as Flanagan& Allen, Gracie Fields, Judy Garland, Nat King Cole, Dean Martin, The Beatles and many others. In the 1990’s musical theatre was introduced and there will be extracts from shows like Oliver, Fiddler On The Roof, Sound Of Music up to its current show Cats 2015.
You are assured of an evening of memorable songs. As this is a gala performance recognising the Palladium theatre we would like to make it an opportunity for you to dress up. You are invited to wear Evening dress, but it is optional.
The event will be held at the Sirinyali Restaurant, which is on the sea front at Karsiyaka.
The evening commences with plated dinner, 6.00 for 6.30, starting with Meze,
followed by the main course, which is a choice of one from:
Chicken shish - Calamari - Mineri (fish) - Lasagne (Meat) - Vegetarian Lasagne
followed by a choice of sweet from:
Bakewell Tart - Eton Mess - Lemon cheesecake - Trifle -
Ice Cream (a mix of Vanilla, Strawberry, Chocolate)
The first 4 sweets to be accompanied with cream or vanilla ice cream
The GEMS, (Girne Ensemble of Musicians & Singers) are planning to start their performance at 8.00.
The Price is 60TL. The profits will go to the charity – Tulips/Help Those With Cancer Association.
Subject to the weather, the dinner will be served in the outside dining area and the show will be performed outside where there will be theatre style seating. Seating for the show will be in order of bookings. In other words the earlier you book, the closer to the performers you will be.
Should you wish to reserve seats email Grahame on grahame50@gmail.com as soon as possible. Incidentally, if you are booking for a group of people, you may wish to reserve seats and you can later provide details of their meal requirements.
We would also like to thank creditwest bank for again sponsoring these evenings.
Thank you
