Slight exaggeration, it's 'hail-stone', but might as well be snow, freezing! Just waiting for the power to go off now.

We had hail stones here in June 2006 - we were in our marble supplier's shop by the Bellapais lights when we noticed a hail storm raging outside

Ha ha .. Groucho, I remember it well. It rained for a whole week. Tourists were complaining to me. Must admit, looking at the electric bill for past couple of months, it's been a cold winter. Still, nothing like what they're getting in the US at the moment. Don't speak too soon!

Thundering now. If the lights go out, I'm off to home, or a coffee shop... or the Colony, they have a generator.

Road up the steep hill to my house is very icy only just made it home! Can I come with you Traveller???

Today was our walk day. Buffavento Village to Bellapais via the hills and dirt tracks. Despite the grey clouds we set off. By midday we were walking thro Bellapais village to the abbey and our picnic lunch stop. Lunch done and the heavens opened, rain, then hail, thunder and lightning. Retreated into a coffee shop and watched.....and watched........decided it was not a quick storm so settled down with some coffees to while away the time. Of course rain does then seem to cause chaos on the road and in Bellapais we sat and watched as traffic built up until everyone was stuck. Rain eased and we set off home, just managing to get indoors before another shower. Despite the weather we never really got soaked and enjoyed the day...everywhere so green and flowers in abundance.

Needless to say its feet up for the rest of the evening.

It is only early April!!!!!

Lightening hit a power supply and then 6 hour power cut. Neighbours had window grating struck and Blackpool illuminations in the kitchen. Interspersed with hail , gales and torrential rain. Winter lasting too long this year! The novelty has worn off.

Flew out from warm (17 deg.), (very) sunny Manchester late yesterday afternoon, arrived here last night in rain, wind and ruddy cold; still wrapped now up with a thick fleece on but freezing .....

There's something not quite right here.........

I don't fancy two weeks of this, so I hope my home weather follows me quickly.....

MTFU you lot, Tuesday weather will warm up then you will soon be whinging that it's too hot
