i took mine to Tektan where is stayed for about 2 weeks then was told it couldn't be repaired and i collected it. just by chance as i was looking around for a replacement we went into Blomburg near the petrol station in Karaoğlanoğlu and my husband was talking with the man in charge about my microwave not being fixed and as we had just collected it the microwave was in the car. the man says he fixes electrical items for tektan but hadn't seen mine and said we could leave it with him. it took a while as he needed to get a part from Turkey but it was fixed. mine is a combination and to replace is quite expensive but should it be an ordinary microwave it may be cheaper to buy a new one as i saw some in the cash and carry for around 200tl and it cost me 230tl but i couldn't replace mine to the same standard so it was a price i had to pay. combinations were well over 1000tl in Halos and nothing like the one i have. take it to blomburg and see what they say it may be something a bit cheaper to repair for you. good luck

Before you chuck it, I should point out that if it is 'dead', it could be simply that a fuse has got tired and expired through old age... (it's all right, it's not 'catching'

)
...I'm not sure that I've put the word 'simply' in the grammatically correct place, but I am sure that someone will be along shortly to put me right if I haven't!
