Has anyone used this hospital?

Does it have A&E facilities?

Does it have an intensive care unit?

Any info would be grate before I trek down there to see them!

If it's an emergency, you would do as well to go straight to the nearest State Hospital - they'll see you straight away.

On the whole, you would be treated by the same doctors, who mostly seem to do half days at the State Hospitals, and 'moonlight' at the Private ones - or have their own clinics as a sideline...

If you really need to use Etik, here are their contact details, just ask 'em! : 0392 22 34 694 E-mail : info@etikhastanesi.com

I'd call an ambulance if you need those sorts of things.... however close friends swear by them and their level of care for operations etc... Just not sure that they A&E ICU places....

I know people who will not go anywhere else. All these 5 Star hotels (sorry I mean hospitals) are springing up but they stick loyally to Etik. Check with BRS because they were supposed to have made arrangements some time ago whereby prices for Ops and treatment were VERY clearly spelled out in advance and short of there being an emergency, that was the price charged. However they do not have an A and E, and they didn't have an ICU when we used it 3 years ago. Things might have changed though. As advised, would suggest the state hospital for an immediate emergency. You can always move out after a few days if you prefer.

I recommend this hospital highly. I have been an in patient few times, once for a month! I had a large op there in January and the care was excellent. For A & E I would always go to the nearest state hospital and ICU is basic at the Etic. They do hip / knee replacements, breast and cancerous lump removals, and most general surgery. The main surgeon is a really good man. A Dr Ikbal, I think his name is. For all types of plastic surgery, Dr Adem is the surgeon. They have a brilliant general 'House' Doctor, Dr Guven. A very calming man, with excellent diagnostic procedures and speaks perfect English. Whereas the specialist doctors attend most days after their State hospital work, Dr Guven is there most of the time. The only down side that I can think of is the food, pretty basic and not very appetising. But most hospitals share that joy! Plenty of take aways near by and they are happy to deliver direct to your room. The reception staff are all very friendly and they give a BRS discount on services but not on drugs.

Blimey that sounds like Basingstoke but for different reasons - at Basingstoke it's a bit like the Jerry Hopkins biography of Jim Morrison -
