According to today's Milliyet the number of GC tourists visiting Turkey in the first 6 months of this year rose from 4898 to 7399, an increase of 51%. Apparently they are choosing Turkey as their holiday destination, because of the cheaper all-inclusive holidays there. An added attraction for them is apparently the cheap, direct flights from Ercan.

Re: An increase in GCs holidaying in Turkey
fascinating ian
...turkey being a non-eurozone country
seems like the value for money is better
I always think tourism is going in two directions:
the all-inclusive family type holiday with
safety and good food and drink included with
no nasty bills at the end
and the more free-spirited independent
traveller trip
