You will probably need a license for them and a work permit for yourself - which you won't get - and lastly you will be arrested and a long prison term for distubing the peace - enough?

It is a madhouse here concerning noise .....dogs barking all night , cockerals waking me at 3am. local disco goes on till early hours. Cicadas screeching all day .
Neighbours kiddies still screaming in the pool at midnight. Trees cut down with electric saw in the evenings .
May I insist that you bring your bagpipes , could I ask you to play them to your hearts content outside my house . Nothing would make me happier !.
Bless you !. and power to your lungs .
Sounds like you will fit in here just fine !!!

What a haunting sound the pipes make,I think they are great, set off any occasion,I've been to Burns nights when they pipe in the haggis,New Years eve,all very special occasions and all the better for the pipes,if you are coming to live in TRNC,without fail you must bring your pipes, and like the haggis, stuff all the non believers!!!

Sundance we look forward to your arrival on this Island . I would have loved to listen to the Lone Piper on Edinburgh castle , but life never took us in that direction. Now ...if we could get you up to St. Hillarion Castle over here..........
Look forward to hearing more from you !!!.

Certainlyh the 'joysome' sounds of the bagpipes have been heard echoing around Kyubele restaurant and the Korineum golf Course for weddings. No doubt at other places too. Not sure where they get the chappies hwo play- might be local, but it is always good to have a back up team! Don't leave them at home, but be careful how you use them! Big clamp down on entertainers at the moment, but then there are those who would say the bagpipes are FAR from being entertainment.
Personally I think they go extremely well with haggis.

Do bring them.
There are probably a few Turkish musicians who will be very interested.
Tulum (Turkish bagpipe )
A Laz tulum player from Ardeşen, Rize, Turkey
The tulum (guda (გუდა) in Laz) is a musical instrument, a form of bagpipe from Turkey. It is droneless with two parallel chanters, usually played by the Laz, Hamsheni people, and Pontic Greeks (particularly Chaldians). It is a prominent instrument in the music of Pazar, Hemşin, Çamlıhemşin, Ardeşen, Fındıklı, Arhavi, Hopa, partly in other districts of Artvin and in the villages of the Tatos range (the watershed between the provinces of Rize and Trabzon) of İspir. Tulum is the instrument of the transhumant population of the north-eastern provinces of Anatolia and, like the kemençe its area, its imposes its style on the whole of the dance and entertainment music of those for whom it is "our music".[

You never know TRNC might develop a pipe band

Marions. You believe that bagpipes go well with haggis. So do I. Anyone who eats haggis should be made to eat bagpipes as well, the more the better
