Owners merry-go-round

Why is there such a high turnover of bars changing british owners in northern Cyprus? I didn't come last year but the previous visit I found the esentepe villa hotel had closed, the windy hill had changed hands and the man who was there had gone to kings bar. This time it seems the Geordie guy from kings bar has gone and the lady that was running the fez is no longer there..... Does anyone know why this is? Do they go to other bars or do they return home?

Been to the new Amore restaurant today, (which I think was Cengiz, who has moved to Waterfall)...at Esentepe....they are the folks from Zeugma, which used to be Antique....meal was ok, but what was nice was they asked for feedback....will go again. But, yes, seems to be a lot of moving around....

Too many outlets for too few customers with property owners demanding ever-increasing annual rents from tenants.
