My understanding is they are looking to pull out of the Turkish Banking operation which has a separate banking licence. They want to sell to another bank. I think that the Lounge may still be there, not that I bother to use it, never have enough time between changing planes. Reuters have been reporting on it for several weeks now.

Will anyone tell us here, or will we find a note on the door one morning. "Gone Away"?

Would think TRNC HSBC will be the last to know what's going on!

They'll be sh***ing bricks - they might actually have to work for a living! When they'd rather be around the corner smoking.....

Big restructure going on in HSBC as my friends daughter worked for them last year ,made redundant .
last week they made UK news when they said they were planning to close canary wharf and relocate that to Singapore .
Mostly I would think turkey has stronger brands backed by its people in turkey as opposed to foreign banks .
