Does anyone know what the upper age limit is for donating blood, I have Rhesus B negative and have been told that it is in short supply, willing to donate but not sure of the age limit.

There are exceptions to this if you are giving blood at a private hospital (Near East for example) where they will not take blood from the over 55s....they also may reject your blood if you are not a regular blood donor.

Hello Elizabeth, Girne State Hospital are having a Blood Donor session on the 30 May. The upper age limit is 69. All blood groups are needed due to the Blood Banks being low. Please come along and see if you can donate.
