Hi,

Does anyone know where i can get my hands on greetings cards?

I've seen the odd one in lemar but they're not really what I'm looking for. Do they have the equivalent of say a Clintons cards etc over here.

Thank you

They have a large selection at the garden shop Ardic, in the block of shops where Tempo is in Catalkoy.

I've done the e card thing before but it feels slightly impersonal (just my opinion - no offence intended to anyone who sends / receives them)

Seems to be plenty of choice on the island though so I'm sure I will get something.

Hoping to pick up a fathers day card and get it to the uk. Hoping I've got time as I'm not sure how long it'll take to get to the uk....

I use this company: http://www.greetingscards.co.uk They have a huge range of cards and do a write and send service for a small additional charge. Your message and the envelope are all hand written and cards are sent out on the day that you pick. Excellent service, have used them for years. You can book card deliveries several months in advance - I usually do mine every 3 months or so. Highly recommended.

I hope to be able to attend the next coffee morninga, just to support the wonderful work. (Maybe I can pick some up for other occasions later on in the year)

The website is a great idea, never knew you could get hand written ones. Fantastic.

Thankyou Agobard for sharing that web site with us. That really is a useful thing to know
I usually get a card hand made by one of the very talented card makers on the island, but then have to rely on someone returning to the Uk to post it for me. It calls for forward planning, this a wonderful alternative.

Bonnie, as long as you have the blue airmail stickers, birthday cards take 5 working days from Girne post office just under 1 tl (25p), not lost one yet, tell them airmail. they understand.

There is a lady at the Lemar Market Catalkoy who does hand made cards, maybe if you asked and gave enough notice she could do a special!

The Ozankoy bookshop also sell cards and used to take orders for "specials" , not sure if they still do but worth trying. (open weekdays except Mon) till about 4pm
