Can anyone tell me where is the best price to purchase a 50Kg tub of pool Chlorine.

Offsetsan, Lefkoşa

From Girne, take 3rd exit at the big roundabout, straight on at the lights, and it's a good way along on the left, far side of a roundabout, next to a big car dealers (Çangar, I think...)

Last time I bought the 50kgs tubs Pooltech (opposite side of road to Creditwest Bank Çatalköy) was the most reasonable around give them a call -

Won't be going all the way to Lefkosa, and defiantly NOT going to Taffy land, so it looks like a trip to PoolTech is called for.

I have bought some from them, but not recently, hence I don't know the current price - it varies widely as the exchange rate goes up and down, hence my suggestion, otherwise I would have had to ring them to find out, and I thought that you might just as well do that...

I bought 25kg of 90% chlorine from Offsetsan on 25th of May for 67.28 Euros for which she charged me 195TL. She did try to charge 230TL until I pointed out her 'mistake'

Make sure you get a receipt, and watch out for dodgy exchange rates. Failing that, pay in Euros. On the way back I checked what Siba at Alsancak were charging and it was 92 Euros for the same thing or 168.20 for 50kgs.

We use Ofsetsan too, they deliver to Karsiyaka square and neighbouring villages so it's worth a call to them. We meet them at the square when they call us..........

I bought from SIBA (Alsancak): 50kg on 20 Apr - 489TL and 50kg on 8 May - 435TL. As Keith stated it depends on the Euro exchange rate on the day

PH down is 20 Euros for 25kg from Offsetsan (or 60tl).

When buying from any place - check inside the tub you are looking at the plastic bag insert for signs that it has started to disintegrate as this indicates that the stock is very old and the chlorine content nominally 90% will be lower and don't buy it if the plastic is so delicate that you can put your finger through it with little effort. It should be quite tough and resistant.
