White Husky dog hit=Ozankoy

We went for our walk around our village this evening and came across a White Husky type dog which looked like it had been hit by a car. The dog had serious head injuries but was alive but in much pain. Together with a friend we took the dog to a local vet, no update yet.
The dog was with another Black husky dog. The dog looked well cared for it had a chain link collar on.
As you pass the five finger bungalows turn right and keep going up the hill, at the top of the hill was where the dog was.
I am posting this to see if anyone owns such a dog. I am sorry to say it may not survive the poor thing. Call me if you know who may own the dog. 0533 876 2204

I am sorry to report that the dog had to be put to sleep because of the severe injuries, now out of pain.

Thank you so much for helping. Under the circumstances, it was probably for the best. Do you know whether the Vet checked on whether there was a micro-chip in place? This is the sort of occasion when the chips really come into their own.

Yes, Ferdiz did check for micro chip but there wasn't one. She didn't think the dog was that old.

We saw two similar dogs about 3 months the ago in the area of Montana Park/Bellapais Park. We walked them down the road towards Olive Tree Mews in the hope that someone might be looking for them. We were stood talking to friends when the dogs walked off and went towards Five Fingers Bungalows and we never saw them again. Someone did say that they thought they lived on the lane up from Five Fingers in a house with blue shutters. Haven't seen them since. Thanks to those who helped, I understand it was very traumatic.

I spent last night in torment.
The dog in question was passed by my husband and son (who was really shocked) near Bellapais Spring Village and it was what they thought as dead on the road as there was so much blood.
We phoned the police and they did nothing and obviously then the dog got up and lade it's way to Ozankoy.
A friend travelled up and saw the blood but not the dog and we assumed it was taken away.
Then we were told it was still ALIVE
It was with it's friend earlier in the day ( another husky) and last night I woke up to a heartbreaking cry I have never heard before.
It sounds ridiculous but I thought it was my little girl; singing in her sleep...then I realised it was the other husky who kept wandering around looking for its friend and howling.
God knows what this husky will do now or where it is? Have you seen it in Ozankoy?
HOW COULD ANYONE KNOCK OVER A DOG AND LEAVE IT ?
This breaks my heart and I can't forget about it.

We only own cats, we have had a dog in the past. We just could not leave the dog there, the cry from it was heart breaking, even Ferdez the vet cried.
You are right it was near Montana Park/Belapais Park, I couldn't remember the name of those houses. I know there are worse things going on in the world, but in our small world we do what we can, I cannot see any animal suffering, or human for that matter.

I think I know the ones you mean. Hubby walks each morning and regularly saw the two lovely dogs, often in the grove opposite the Five finger bungalows. He thinks they may be from the house further along towards Catalkoy. Two things, one, I agree, can't understand how anyone could harm the dog and just carry on, but secondly, when will the mindless people stop letting their dogs roam......it really does beat me!

Since this incident it would appear that the husky dog which was left out of the two has been near friends of ours howling all night in Bellapais. Unfortunately one of their dogs has jumped over the garden wall to join it and both have gone missing.
Our friends dog is also a husky but quite small, nearly all Black with Blue eyes, named Mavi. The dog has a microchip and a collar with their name and telephone number on. She is shy of traffic and they are desperate to know her whereabouts.
