Multimax Network is under cyber-attack

Multimax network has been currently being targeted by a series of cyber attacks since yesterday (Saturday July 28th).
The attacks were never a threat to our customers personal data or even Multimax's internal network in general.
These attacks which are called DDOS ( Distributed Denial of Sevice Attacks) work by sending large amounts of traffic to Multimax core systems, overloading its servers and filling up data pipes which in turn result in denying service to proper data requests coming from the customers, slowing down or completely stopping legitimate internet traffic.
We have secured all possible threats to our servers and issued a number of counter measures to prevent these sort of attacks to affect our network performance.
As the attacks are still coming through and they are trying to change shape and form in order to adapt to our counter measures, we are constantly monitoring our network to make necessary changes to make sure everything is fully protected. Until this happens, there might be a few -couple minute- slow performance or downtimes.
As for NTV, none of the Sky channels, BBCi channels, and BBC Olympics channels should be affected by this issue. BBC1&2, ITV1&2, Ch4 and Ch5 might be affected with the rest of the Internet connection.
