Does anyone know if the new Salty's is open yet?

They weren't yesterday ,sign still says -opening May- ,omitting to say which year

There has been a bit of a problem with staffing I believe which has left Salty in a dilemma, which I am sure will be sorted soon. His fish and chips are still the best.

Thank you, for your replies, hopefully won't be too long, not tried their Girne one, but hubby likes his fish n chips!

Try the Girne one Barbieb, it is very, very good, and shame a bit of a blip in Alsancak, but I am sure it will all be ok in the end.....

There are lots of people here looking for work. Perhaps minimum wage for long hours doesn't appeal to most. Anyway, he will have his work cut out with Lokmans just around the corner.

I must agree, Crispy squid's batter is great you get a very good portion of Chips, Salty's was good but I have now found better and closer to me Crispy Squid all the time

I think both if them are excellent on the odd occasion when fish and chips are fancied.
Interesting though that at crispy squid they thought scampi and prawns were the same thing. We asked for scampi and were told what I have just recounted.
Definitely not especially for someone with an allergy to prawns!
Hopefully crispy squid have extended their range to include scampi otherwise I will continue to get my fix at Happy Valley, Riaz does great fish and chips and scampi, when I don't want to go as far as Salty's.

Where is Crispy Squid??? (Opposite Pit Shop did not help since I do not know where that is either ) Perhaps the area name might help me find it easier.

Have heard mixed reviews about Crispy Squids, but will have a go and make up my own mind.we like to spread our custom around, not to mention the waistline lol.
