Hi all,
I have decided to delete this thread. Something had been pointed out to me which I was a bit slow on picking up on (I can be a little dim at times).
Apologies if you still had something to say, but I believe it is best to close the thread before any damage is done.

Soner, I know it is difficult to manage these things, but it was best deleted.

So for the rest of us that didn't know why it was deleted, are we not allowed to know the reason why????

Darlartokat, I am sorry in some way, that you missed all the 'discussions' that were going on, but believe me this thread was best taken off, it was not informative, helpful or interesting in any way, an I am a bit surprised that it was allowed to continue as long as it did. Best draw a line under it now.

I will also admit to being a bit dim with regards to this thread.....I did not pick anything up apart from I thought some people were talking in riddles or with forked tongue! There was obviously something not right but I could not see what it was.

Anyway its deleted now so no need to discuss further.

We move on.

A word of warning for future posters of such potentially actionable threads - my daughter was recently 'fraped' - if you don't know what that means - it's a new word describing the situation where your facebook (or other social media) persona is accessed by someone and they post inflammatory posts regarding your activities posing as you....

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Fraped

In her case it was a joke which she saw the funny side of... thank goodness she has both a sense of humour and perspective. The 'frape' was not malicious in its originator's intention but it could have been.

Now, I don't know if this is what has occurred here but before we all jump on a bandwagon just bear in mind that the subject might well be totally innocent of the act or acts purporting to emanate from their social media persona...

I'm glad that the string of posts has no been deleted - it was definitely not what I'm sure most people would want to read on this forum.

It reminded me of the reasons why Cyprus44 collapsed a few years back.

Live and let live!

Hot Hippo, kinda agree, but I thin k the Buddhist statement of 'Do no harm' is a better one to live by. Just sometimes what people do because we stand by and do nothing, can harm people!

But was interested in groucho. I have not been the victim of this, but I did wonder (having seen the advert in question) as to whether it was a 'joke' and a cruel one, . Whatever, that is now history, but I do notice on Skype I get requests for friendship from American military, who cannot write English or American, but whose photos do appear on Facebook.(and are stolen) And some of these poor souls have had accounts set up in their name on Facebook which is not done by themselves. So, I now know that is 'fraping'. But what is it for Skype? (other than annoying!)

And yes Cyprus 44 got out of hand because it was an impossible burden on the owner of the site, who had another life! I can assure you that several phone calls were made concerning this deleted post, as to what was the best way forward. And by the time we had made a decision, of course more entries had been put. So, all done and dusted now, and thanks to KibKomers for their understanding - poor Soner is on holiday and had a headache at the same time!

Marion, I guess for Skype that would be Sraping. And for Kibkom it would be Kraping.(note there is only one P so makes a big difference).

A saying from years ago......todays news is tomorrows fish and chip paper. Back in the good old days when fish and chips were wrapped in newspapers...... )

It will all be forgotten in a few days.

Indeed Oh and by the way, the fish and chips tasted so much better when wrapped in newspaper!

Howev,r no matter how sad this has all been, lots of people have had a lot of extra publicity and as they say ' there is no such thing as bad publicity.,'

By next week there will be something far more imp0ortant to be discussed 'in the market place.'
