I love it! At least its sunny and warm and makes it bearable. Soon we will have the heat and horrible humidity.

It won't be that long before you are praying for a bit of wind or rain to cool you down, and muttering "It was never this hot last year, was it?"

I am glad of the wind. With doors and windows on two sides of the house, and one window on a third, I get the advantage of a cool breeze and by judicious opening and closing, have been able to keep the house at a a comfortable temperature without spending on fuel for heating or air con for nearly six weeks. If you find a spot that is out of the wind, the sun is very hot: with this cloud the humidity would be extremely high were it not for the wind.

Thanks for your support! Yes fed up with not being able to get in the pool because it is full of vegetation from the trees & has 3' high waves on it (that might be a slight exaggeration).
Have a nice (windy) evening everyone

According to Wilki it was a thirteenth century Benedictine Monk called John Lydgate who first said it!

I must admit I had never heard of him, but presumably AL had, and quoted him!
