i am pleased to announce that the next Daisy Roots meeting will be a week sunday...21st June!

It will a much anticipated Bonsai Workshop!
This will include, how to get started, the type of pot you'll need, the best plants, maintenance and upkeep, and all your questions will be answered!

It will start promptly at 1.30, so i suggest you get here for 1pm, give yourself time to get a drink and introduce yourself to other members.

The Daisy Roots Gardeners Club can be found on facebook, and offers lots of advice from people who actually live here and have first hand experience of growing plants in Cyprus.

Personally i am very excited about this one....and i look forward to meeting new people!

Sorry, can't be there for the Bonsai workshop, but am sure it will be inetersting.

Hi Sam this sounds really interesting and I hope you get a real good turn out for this. I am very interested in Bonsai's but have never owned one. I have always thought of it as part of the Japanese culture, I had no idea that you could do this yourself.
Unfortunately, I am down south on Sunday as I have arranged to meet up with some friends in Larnaka.
But I know you do swopsies etc at these meetings, don't forget I have a few golden gooseberries that I could put in for swopsies. They are very bushy and have loads of fruit on them in August. The fruit comes in its own little wrapper a paper like covering which you peel off. They are also excellent antioxidants.

We are in NC December to March is there a Society for Bonsai there? We are going to Cheshire Society exhibition today here in the UK we would be interested if there was somewhere in NC when we are there.

Hi Woodspeckie. As far as i know, the only place you will find a Bonsai Society is in the South. So sorry i couldn't be of more use.
