Who are these people???

Does anyone else get factitious Skype people that want to be your friend i.e. Dr Kirk Arasmus or Major Ali Bongo.
No amount of blocking seems to stop them, I'm posting today because we must have had 10 or 12 of these "friend" requests.

I have had lots of friend requests on Skype too this week. I have set my status to invisible to see if it will help.
How weird! has anyone else got this problem too just recently?

According to the requests I've had, there are an amazing number of four-star generals running around in Afghanistan all looking for Skype connections. I contacted Skype because I was so fed up with these requests, no privacy settings worked, spent ages outlining the problem only to be told that Skype can't or won't do anything. All you're advised to do is block each request. I have since deleted Skype altogether. The ones I really hate start: "Hello, dear....." which gets right up my nose.
