parasol repair?

Hi
We have one of those white parasols with the wind up handle. The cord has snapped and although we have been able to dismantle it, there seems to be no way to get into the actual mechanism to put a new cord in. Does anyone know if it's possible to repair these please, it's not very old and seems shame to bin it.
If not, next question is where cheapest place to buy replacement please?

jax47, try the Yahoo opposite Supreme supermarket. He's pretty handy at fixing many garden furniture fittings, is reasonably priced, one-time and has good English, sorry I cannot remember his name. Good luck with it wherever you find.

On your side - ALADDINS CAVE - we have one there being repaired for the self same reason. They repaired two of ours last year for self same reason and we live in Alsancak.

Thank you! We actually bought it from Aladdins Cave so we'll take it back there.

Ali edip ,through lapta strip on main road heading towards karsiyaka is in left hand side of road , sunbeds etc outside

has any one ever had their parasols recovered please, it seams so wasteful to throw away when the structure is still like new.

Just had our parasol repaired at Aladdins Cave. The wire had snapped and a bit was missing in the centre of the parasol. They put an extra thick wire in and replaced the missing part too. It took 3 days and cost 55 TL.
Good service.

Just collected our parasol up having been repaired by Aladdins Cave - cost 25tl -AND they did more than we asked for!!! Took two days.

get off, if you take the old parasol cover off and take it to the fabric factory in Famagusta, it can be replaced in 10 days for 130 YTL.
