The Yar woodshop in Girne opposite the big car park had some of the proper stuff last time I was in.

They are laying a vast area of decking for the new Supreme restaurant in Catalkoy - why not pop down and ask someone where they get it. You may even get a 'deal' if they get some for you!!

Supreme got it from YAR as well.
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.

Personally I think it's worth paying the extra for composite decking material, will outlast wood many times and never needs treating, doesn't twist or crack

Ersem Trading at Alsancak fitted ours. Very good quality and properly fitted. Speak to Celal or Serhat at the shop.

This might seem a silly question to those of you in the know but is decking totally waterproof The reason I ask is that after 11 years most of the surround of our pool now resembles a switch back, and we end up with huge puddles of water that we have to sweep away after every rain. If we don't, the water sinks through and problem worsens each year. Rather than take tiles up, have the ground base levelled , and then new tiles laid, could decking be laid over the existing "grotty" tlles and not allow water to seep through?

NO!

Decking has a gap, around 6mm to 10mm, between each plank - it is not meant to be a watertight covering.
