I see that bus companies are giving another 2 weeks to discuss letting Turkish Cypriot buses to cross over the border. Since borders opened they have not let TC buses over, why would they say yes now. Today at my coffee shop on main road in Karsiyaka a small bus carrying about 14 Grrek Cypriots pulled up. All sat down, very few ordered a coffee but all sat at tables and opened their packs of sandwiches they had crossed over with. Ladies all used the toilet and off they went. I go into Girne every Saturday lunchtime and place is full of GC coaches. Greek Cypriots and tourists all carrying their water bottles etc. and have been told not to spend money this side of border. Bloody cheek.

This is a snapshot of the real situation, regardless of so called CBMs. Even if the 2 leaders agree, the referendum will be the decider and I don't hold out much hope for a positive outcome.

It actually has more to do with the road worthiness of commercial vehicles this side , lack of seat belts etc

They were probably looking for their land and houses. They have got a nerve stopping to use the facilities without spending a penny. it's the same when the tours come marching around Nicosia with their hiking boots on as there are no paths or streets,,lol. They've probablybeen told not to eat the food or drink the water in case they get poisoned as well.
