BBC Iplayer - can't always understand them!!

This has happened more than once, in fact occuring more and more. There was nothing that I wanted to watch yesterday, so I clicked on to Categories, then Drama and down the alphabet to Waking The Dead. This used to be one of my favourites, so when I could watch Series 1, Episode 1, I was delighted (blimey, they all looked a bit young) It was an exciting watch and I looked forward to the second half (they were always two parters) It was then I discovered there were no more Series or Episodes to watch, not even the second half of Episode 1. What the hell is the point of that I've tried to discover why BBC do this, but to no avail. There just seems to be no point in broadcasting half a programme and no more. I've tried to watch History series, got to part 3 of 4 and they don't release No.4. Very frustrating!!

Sophie: I agree , I find the IPlayer Website very unhelpful and the standard of BBC programmes , both Radio and TV deteriorating . I put the latter down to my age but there are people on another forum I visit that agree.

I have also noticed "one offs" and had programmes stop midseries. I suspect this is because they have to fill air time and do a sort of lucky dip into old programmes if they have a gap and pick one at random without even checking if there is a sequel.

They also sometimes delay an episode or two of a series off for a week or two if there is a large event to fit in (usually a sporting fixture) and bring it back when the event ia over, so dont lose hope - it might just reappear. If you can remember the exact name of the programme you can check if it is current by putting it in the search box to save all that scrolling down.

I only watch TV for an hour or so a day anyway, but havent found anything I want ot watch for a couple of days, but remember this is the "silly season" and one can only hope they bring back some of the better programmes by winter when more people are watching with long winter nights!

If you look again in a weeks time, in the categories section, click on Waking the Dead, and it should have the second episode available. That is what we have found when we have been following things in the past.
