Soner,
This question is asked often and the opening times can be very important. Are you able to put the times on your home page so that it can be accessed when required, as is the case for vehicle MOT dates?

as mentioned, the question is often asked.
It is just as often answered, so by using the search facility on this forum, the
answer can easily be accessed...

Yes, but if it's the first time that the vehicle has been taken across, then you will need to obtain a 'Substitute Road Tax Form', free of charge , only available at the Metehan crossing point (and also apparently at Famagusta - see next post!) Mon to Fri - best to go in the morning, as they close early p.m.
Take ALL of the vehicle documents along with you, and the form needs to be renewed annually,...

You can get your Road Tax at Famagusta, I got mine in April. Insurance offices are open from 8am to 9pm during the week, not sure about the weekend.

Thanks for that additional info - I've edited my post to include Famagusta

Well I have read through some of the posts and was unable to find a definitive answer - just the personal views of various people.

I'm sorry, but that's all that you're ever going to get!
Where do you think that Soner is going to get his information, other than from posts on the Forum?
Do you think that he is going to go to all of the crossing points himself to get the information first-hand?
If you are so keen to avoid 'hearsay', and to have first-hand information published on the Forum, you always have the option to go to the crossing points yourself to acquire the information, and then post it on the Forum as 'FACT' ...

Thank you very much for your response. I have re-read both my posts to ascertain the reason for your vitriolic response. For convenience, I have repeated them, where relevant. This is what I wrote in my first quote:
"Soner, This question is asked often and the opening times can be very important. Are you able to put the times on your home page so that it can be accessed when required, as is the case for vehicle MOT dates?"
Careful examination of both my posts would elicit the following points:
1. I simply asked Soner if he was able to put the times on the home page, I did not ask (nor did I expect) him to to visit all of the crossing points himself. I thought, that as the question is asked so frequently, he as owner of the Forum, might have the information to hand; clearly I was mistaken.
In my second post, I said:
Well I have read through some of the posts and was unable to find a definitive answer - just the personal views of various people
.
2. I think you will find that the post makes no reference to hearsay, or the avoidance of it; I said that
"I was unable to find a definitive answer".
Part of your response:
you always have the option to go to the crossing points yourself to acquire the information, and then post it on the Forum as 'FACT' ...
3. Again, examination of my original post will show that it was not I that wanted the information; I was simply offering what I thought was a helpful suggestion (clearly, I was wrong again).
Kind regards PB

PapaBravo I believe I answered the question but not the weekend times. This is the problem with boards, people only read what they want to, then things get out of hand.

I could not agree more, hence my original suggestion that such an important topic (for some people) should be ascertained, by whatever means, and made easily available to Kibkom users who require it.

Sorry Tomsteel not been on Forum for a couple of days. You get the tax at Famagusta crossing at the same place as insurance. The small office just beside the custom office on right hand side on Greek side, I think he only takes cash not C/cards.

If you want to go across roughly once a month, then go on the first and the 30th, then skip a month- that way it only costs you 150 Euros a year!
I'm from Yorkshire, we know these things

With all the talks etc, isn't it about time they scrapped this? I have heard at some of the other border crossings that they don't ask for it?

They don't ask for it at Beyamurdu because they are on the sovereign base at all the other crossings I have been asked to show it.

The other crossing point into the WSBA is at Black Knight/Ayios Nikolias and I've never been asked for proof of RoC Certificate or insurance there either. Not to say it will not change though. The SBA Customs personnel are much more concerned about excess duty free goods whereas RoC Police have never checked us for excess duty free gods when passing through their checkpoints.
