Gi'it Some 'Ommer Tonight. That's the title of The Holts Brewery photo that used to hang above the bar in all their pubs. It was the first of their themed photos when they opened. It is hanging in our Hall here in TRNC.
My Great Grandad and Great Great Grandad are 2 of the 5 men in the picture making the Chain for the Titanic. My dad told me they used to average around 37 pints of beer a day whilst on a shift and they had a beer boy to fetch the beer. This was due to the intense heat.
I have always considered Cradley Heath, Brieley Hill areas and of course Tipton to be the real heart of the Black Country, so I see Dudley as the heart of it.
