SIBA (Alsancak & Bellapais lights) or Topclean (New Harbour Road).

I haven't bought one for a while, so don't know the current price, but probably around £350 to £400 - ish.

Shouldn't be too much difference in the price wherever you go.

(Having said that, as with most items, there may be places in Lefkosia that are cheaper, but you'd have to know where they were! - Also there are pool equipment suppliers on the South side, if you really want to go to town on the price-checking front...).

The usual advice is to choose an Italian manufactured one, but if you're fitting it yourselves, you would find it easier to go for the same Make and Model as the faulty one, to save cutting and re-forming pipework, and fitting new couplings etc - it can be a bit of a daunting task if you've not been shown how to do it!

Keith,
Thank you for your reply. I have costed a pump at two of those suppliers you mentioned, one was far higher than the other one. I understand your point about the pipework, one of the costings included fitting, I would be lost if I had to start replacing the pipework.
Sometimes you get lucky and someone has one for sale, I can wait until Monday for any other replies, thanks again for your contribution.

Press Teknik, on the main road next to Freddies Bar between Alsancak and Lapta, sells and repairs all manner of pumps. I've found him to be very helpful, honest and his services reasonably priced.

We have always used the pump man next to Freddiesbar. It is also a yapi kind of shop. They also service our generator. Really good men. Thoroughly recommend them.
