Bank interest rates to drop.

Just been informed from my bank that Turkey are dropping the interest rates. They were not 100% sure of the exact drop but said it was likely to be 0.5% to start with.
They advised me to take the 4 month fixed savings option instead of my monthly option to balance it out.

This is interesting news I wonder what will happen to the exchange rate it may fall so it will be a case of swings and roundabouts but in my opinion never believe what a banker tells you!!

Which bank was that? My bank, Garanti have just dropped mine by 1%, from 11 to 10%

Exchange rate was 2.75 this morning in town.

It was Iktisat bank.
