Advertised on the forum, Samsung Mobile phones. They are not the real thing, They are flimsy copies with various problems inc. inferior camera, bad call quality,Dangerous chargers, cheap and nasty..My sister purchased one for her her granddaughter and was assured yes it is real. She had not got a clue she is not familiar with modern phones etc. She actually asked the girl if it was genuine. It was not cheap it was over 900TL.
But when she gave it to her granddaughter the youngster said right away it was not genuine. The woman selling them is English she uses 3 different surnames operates around Lapta Strip. We have also seen the same phones in Girne for 400 TL. No fool like an old fool.

Advice to anyone purchasing items or services advertised on the forum especially from non verified sources is BUYER BEWARE. Many items here in the TRNC may not be the genuine article and as in many other places throughout the world are offered at a substantially reduced price. You get what you pay for.

If as a buyer you are not happy with what is being advertised for sale then do not purchase.

Name and shame if the allegation is fact. Then others are protected.

More info has come to light now.l As usual, it is more complicated than thought. The person seller was not the owner of the phones, but doing it for a relative. It is maintained that photos etc were posted. But at the moment I don't have time to investigate. Soner is aware of it, . However, it has to be noted that the Forum is but a 'market place' and if there is any problem with any product bought, then go back to the vendor (Caveat emptor etc)

Hopefully this can be sorted, but as I said, we need to do a big of further digging. In the meantime thanks to all who have provided information on this.

Have a good holiday all!
