Does anyone know what they charge in the office at Lefkosia for this please.

Depends on the vehicle but it ranges from approx 140tl to 356tl.

There is a service being offered by an office in Girne to carry out this transfer of keeper process for a "small fee" but it looks like the small fee is actually 200tl................ plus the 250tl you mention.

If you go along to the office in Lefkosia, with ALL of the paperwork, Muhtar's letter, passport copies of seller/buyer, et al, you will find a 'little old lady' sat outside.

Entrust all of your documentation and (some) of your cash to her, she will disappear inside, and emerge with your logbook suitably amended.

Don't forget to ask her how much you owe her for her services - I did, the first time , and she probably thought "cheapskate!"

I paid the small fee too, and it was 50TL, but I am Cypriot ! I should have mentioned that I also had to pay a 'new car ' tax of 213TL to the police and the car had to be checked over at the police MOT garage (no extra cost).
