It's all on Google maps, then you can print it off and take it with you.
The wife keeps complaining I never listen to a word she says ............. or something like that.

That's probably because all the road names are in Greek as well - lol. Use Google Earth and Google Maps and you can normally work out how to get to places in the South, not easy but keeps you in the aircon this time of year.
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.

See this link http://www.kibkomnorthcyprusforum.com/v ... ons#p33757
Or follow signs for Larnaca/Limissol until you get to roundabout for A1, go underneath A1 and follow instructions on link above

From Metehan: Go right after border, past the race course, thro traffic lights x2, at the large roundabout go straight on and follow the main road until you see a large church on your left, just beyond this turn left and continue to follow the dual carriageway until you come to the large roundabout with the coloured balls in the centre. Go over this roundabout, then first left and left again and the Mall of Cyprus is on your right with Ikea just beyond. Hope this helps. It's very easy to find once you have been there

Re: Directions please to the mall of Cyprus
Muffin 1 has it right. Here is a slightly more detailed route:
After the Greek border office turn right, and then immediately right again onto the main road
Straight across first set of traffic lights (and 1 set of pedestrian lights)
Second set of Traffic lights at a T junction – turn right (Coca cola factory now on your left)
Roundabout with yellow hoops – straight across
Straight across at 4 sets of traffic lights (and 2 sets of Pedestrian traffic lights)
Just after 2nd set of Pedestrian Lights - turn left at a junction after a very large church on left
Straight across 2 sets of traffic lights
Roundabout - straight across (start of the dual carriageway)
Straight across the next 2 roundabouts
Straight across the next 2 sets of traffic lights
Big Roundabout with coloured balls in the centre and motorway flyover. Go over this roundabout, then first left and left again and the Mall of Cyprus is on your right with Ikea just beyond. You can see the Ikea sign from quite a distance away.

Well done Muffin 1 and Papabravo. A question was asked and no one else answered it. Google maps ok, but in Greek and many of us do not have printers to print off. Why don't people answer these questions instead of being flip, happens so many times?

Re: Directions please to the mall of Cyprus
I feel snubbed, if you checked the link I gave you then you would have found very detailed directions including other points of interest. I have put these directions on many times and didn't see the need to type them out again. Btw there is a good search facility on this board and many of the questions that keep being asked have been answered many times before. If only people would make the effort to search the board first, esp. for directions which don't tend to change over time.

Re: Directions please to the mall of Cyprus
G'day Ham on Brown,
I've lived in Cyprus - South & North - for over 30 years, so know Nicosia well.
If you want to take me, I'll take you 'right to the door' of the Mall, Alpha Mega, or anywhere else you might be wanting to look for stuff! I also speak Cypriot Greek; so, in certain circumstances, can negotiate a worthwhile discount for you.
Cheeky, aren't I???!!!

Re: Directions please to the mall of Cyprus
Thank you so much DieHard, I must remember not to offer my advice the next time it is asked for. Just in case I do not give out the perfect answer,
May I point out that it is better to give as much detail as possible when you ask a question - "Directions please to the mall of Cyprus" followed by "From Metahan" and then "Its all in Greek on Google Maps" followed by "No, the one in strovolos please". None of this indicates the person has no printer, none of this indicated that the person did not know all the road names are in Greek - but it did receive a tongue in cheek, humorous, and useful reply.
Congratulations for providing such precise and detailed information for the person who asked yourself by the way - maybe I will cut you some slack here and imagine that you do not know where the Mall of Cyprus was located yourself. But you do now so the thread ends on a useful note.
