Brilliant news but that's not a lot of notice. Presumably this ceremony will be at the dam but is there any hint what time it will be?

If they do publish a time you can add several hours whilst the worthies are schmoozed.....

first they have to see where leaks occur - no point putting tarmac over the diggings until they've made it watertight - there are bound to be some problems.....

Whatever teething problems there are, it's still a fantastic feat of engineering and I'm really impressed by the way they've gone about it and got on with it (with no union trouble on the way ).

How will passing submarines manage I wonder?

Well they better get a shift on as the boats off of Karsiyaka are still moving pipes around and one of them seems to have hold of what looks like the end of the undersea pipe which is a couple of miles from the shore!

Twaddle, they installed the pipeline from Guzelyali beach out to sea last year so where they are now is where the pipes meet. I guess.

Thanks M.E They are still adding pipework so presume it must be the last couple. I wait with baited breath!!
