Is there a cashpoint where I can withdraw sterling or do I have to accept the banks exchange rate and withdraw lira? If I have to withdraw lira how do I find out what the rate is?

I use the ones at the H.S.B.C. In town. A withdrawal of £500 cost me £1.50.

HSBC, TEB, Garanti Bank and Isbank all have ATMs that pay out sterling.

If you're using a Nationwide Visa,
There should be no withdrawal charges at all, for £ sterling

Is bank machines by the bank or only elsewhere?
