the Soyer Sports Club has an established men's basketball league with players of all ages, but now wants to find some ladies to make a ladies team to train up and enter league matches.

They already have 4 players but need another 4 to 8 ladies who are prepared to train as required. The training will probably be in Lefkosia, but travelling expenses may be paid.
If you are interested, or want to learn more, why not give Ipek a ring (she speaks greatEnglish) as she is now in charge of this, and she will tell you all about it. They really want to get a ladies team going at the beginning of the season.

Ring Ipek on 0533 862 1061! By the way, i am thinking of having a go, but don't have the time. I would at least have the reputaiton of being the oldest lady on the team, as there is no age limit up or down on this.

Anyone else out there feeling an urge to try basketball - the ladies that is, or come to that nay men interested might like to talk about it. It owuld be good if someone formed a Masters team of foreigners to play the existing Cypriot masters team.

So come on ladies. Makes a great change from tennis or the gy m.

Sorry, still trying to find the motivation for either tennis or Gym, keep telling myself being a geriatric is no excuse but.......

Good luck and hope a team can be formed.
