Salaries are normally quoted as an annual figure - the advert is ambiguous in that you don't say what period 4,000TL is for - if that's the salary per annum - that's a very low wage and would put off applicants....

One of the best job descriptions I have seen on here.
Sounds like a very good job. Good luck with finding a suitable candidate. Good luck to all that apply.

The bulk of it is fine but less than £1,000 per annum seems a tad on the low side - don't you think?

If that's the case I would agree. But I'm sure considering the job discription that it would be a monthly figure for this type of position. I would hope so anyway.

An applicant with any savvy would clarify this from the offset.

If anyone is dumb enough to think they would offer 75tl per week, then I am sure Multimax will not be disappointed if they don't apply for the job.

It's not often that you spout undiluted piffle, but you do seem to have made an exception in this case

A little research should soon inform you that the minimum wage in TRNC is set by law at around 1,500 TL per month, and a look at job adverts in the TRNC (rather than the UK) would soon enlighten you to the fact that wage rates are usually advertised on a per month basis.

It is highly unlikely that any company would advertise a job at less than the statutory minimum wage, and given the responsibility inherent in the position that Multimax are advertising, common sense should tell you that the figure quoted is 'per month'.

If you couldn't work that one out, then you need not apply for the job. Image

Salaries are normally, and almost always quoted as monthly figure in Northern Cyprus. If you did not already know this, AND you could not figure this out on your own, means you are not fit for this job and you shouldn't bother applying.

Right candidate will be earning considerably more than the starting salary rather quickly.

Thanks Floradora, we wanted to be as descriptive as possible.

K.

Well I never Keith...

My point was only that I think the salary period should be stated.... to make the advert quite clear. They could equally assume a salary of 4,000TL per week! It would be somewhat embarrasing to find out it's a quarter of what you expected....

As a lot of bi-lingual employees here will have come from the UK where salaries are normally quoted in annual terms I thought it worth seeking clarification.

KBASAT

I must say I think you've got an aggressive tone for a prospective employer so good luck finding a candidate to take the job... It's not the job people leave it's the bosses... look that up.

I thought in the TRNC a decimal point was used as the separator for thousands.... i.e. 4.000 TL PCM.

It is never too late to apologize for needlessly detrimental comments, or at least stop doing it further. I appreciate if you can stop the pointless picking of our job vacancy.

Groucho -you appear to have dug your self a big hole, climbed into it,and have shovelled the earth on top of yourself.

Instead of stopping there, you are now patting the earth down.

Do the decent thing, apologise to Kemal and lets put paid to the sorry abhorrence on your part,we all make complete cocks of ourselves now and again, but enough is enough.

Well I apologise if you think my comment was detrimental - it wasn't meant to be - it was in fact only to help you improve the detail of your advert.

Making myself look a dick is sort of a pastime of mine...

You've got to admit it's kept your advert at the top....
