Well as the same family own the newspaper as own the school, I am sure that when/if they have anything good to say then they will say it, even if they only focus on a handful of children in selective subjects rather than the broader picture. None of the schools here are transparent about their results as generally they are not very good. The ESK website appears to have gone very quiet as well, but maybe you will see the odd few results fluffed over in one of their newsletter later as appeared last year, albeit far far short of comprehensive, tending to focus on their passes in languages, instead of the core subjects, and only listing the vague results of the top performing children without breaking down the subjects/grades.

Anyway, on that front I am looking for a qualified Maths teacher to bring my children up to UK Grammar School standards, so as to ensure they gain entry to the English School of Nicosia (South side) next September who are very transparent about their results that are truly comparable to the best ranked in the UK. How a child that arrived here in 2012 and was consistently top in both English & Maths at ESK and more recently at another school, and who has outstanding none verbal reasoning skills thus demonstrating a very high IQ, failed to qualify to get in to ESN for this September, beggars belief, but it certainly highlights the differences in standards. 30% in the ESN Maths entry paper V average of over 90% here, says it all really. The difference in English not so wide (passable) as mother tongue is English, but still an unacceptable difference, and so the children are falling behind, and risk falling even further behind this year, which is extremely worrying.

Maths Teacher please, key stage 3 for a year 8 and year 9 student wanted after 5pm (Ozankoy/Catalkoy area) or at weekends, perhaps twice per week with home study.
Here is what is expected for Year 3 secondary (Year 9) and Year 4 secondary (Year 10) entry for next academic year 2016/17, with exams being sat early June 2016.

A First Language English teacher perhaps once per week with home study.

Please message me if you can help or know of someone that can help, thank you. Sorry to hijack thread, but I expect a few teachers might read this!
