Last evening my neighbours saw a man walk down Zafer Sokak from Catalkoy village carrying a sack. They saw him walk on to the overgrown cemetery and dump the sack in the field. They went to investigate and heard meowing. Yes you have guessed it a cat and a kitten just dumped and left in the tied up sack.
Obviously they released them. They know what he looked like but not who he is.
Absolutely sickens me the mentality of some people. Just WHY?!!

Such a pity they weren't able to take a photo and ask around. Having said that I don't suppose many people will have cared much. Karma is all they can hope for.

OMG that is absolutely dreadful, left to starve to death which could take a week or two. Totally unjustifiable, do these people have no conscience, the kitten would probably go first & then the mother left in the sack with the dead kitten. It is just horrific that a "human" could do this, drowning them would be a quicker release but maybe they haven't got the stomach to see first hand the murder of these defenceless animals.

It was very fortunate that your neighbours saw what was happening & were able to release the poor creatures, at least they have a chance of survival as opposed to a certain lingering death.

Nothing, absolutely nothing surprises me what goes on in this country anymore!

This country is no different to any other. There is animal cruelty throughout the world, even in so called civilized places such as the UK and US. I have seen many acts of animal kindness by the local population in this country.

Quite right, teatime, there is cruelty around the world, and many good people here care for animals, it's just easy to focus on the cruelty and forget the good. North Cyprus is no better, no worse than other countries. In the UK you don't see strays so much as they are dumped on charities who have to put the poor critters to sleep. Hidden cruelty.

When we see hours and hours on our TV as to mans inhumanity to man, is it not surprising as to what people do to animals, lets face it many people (and I am NOT one of them) consider animals to be expendable and can be treated with appalling cruelty without so much as a bat of an eye lid. Elephants. donkeys in the middle east, the list is endless, even so called enlightened countries - look behind the scenes of a Water World in the US and you would weep.
