Myself and a friend have start a group Called "Cyprus supports the Syrian Refugees" on Face book
We are a community project we are non political and are helping the Syrian refugees by collecting clothing and sanitary goods for distribution in Turkey.
We would love everyones support and donations if possible, I do realise there are a lot of different feelings about the refugee problems. But this is something we are very passionate about and would appreciate no negative or political comments.
We are collecting the following items:

Clothing, towels, blankets and sheets.
And urgently needed items include:
Ladies/mens under garments – NEW ONLY
Newborn clothes
Small children’s clothes (age 2 to 4)
Teenage clothes
Clean baby clothes
Clean children’s clothes and shoes
Men’s shorts, trousers, Jackets, t shirts and shirts
Women’s clothes – long sleeved only
Sanitary items required: Adult and child toothbrushes, toothpaste, wet wipes, nappies, soap and sanitary pads.
Any wool, that can be knitted into booties and wooly hats

Drop off points:
Highline Paragliding in the Harbour 10am-10pm Daily
St Andrews Church, Girne At present Sundays
Black Olive, Alsancak
All items will be given to families in Bodrum or sent to refugee camps

hi johnny, I actually live in Nicosia, Unfortunately I can drive in the south I can walk over or maybe meet you at the Metahan crossing.

i have a big bag of over 20 pairs of ladies shoes and some few bits of ladies clothing...i was going to sell and give the money to some families in need but noone wanted ot buy.i cant deliver right now...in case u ever come across the border let me know.
later on i will sort some other things out....but i would like to take them myself so i can see how they are doing.are ther esom orphanges around that you are taking?or is it for the refugees?
i heard that they are taking a large amount of refugees now in the south which is good,they will also get help from people and the government so they r being taken care of...i would like to help a little where they dont receive as much help.
