I'm struggling to understand....

Why my post about the Büyükkonuk Sunday 11th October, 2015 - Eco-Day has been relegated to the events only section when loads of total crap is allowed to remain on the general section....????

Please mods exercise a little common sense - those members who don't use the filters are unlikely to see details of this very good event unless you allow it to remain in the general section

Worth its weight in gold compared to some of the drivel (restaurant reviews, where can I guy my fags and other sh1t) allowed to clutter-up the general section....

Who's a grumpy Groucho today then? However, I agree with you (as I do with most of your posts). Come on mods, I know you're damned if you do and damned if you don 't, but occasional discretion goes a long way. I hate it when someone posts quote 'should this not have been posted in the dogs/sales/restaurants/jokes section' unquote. Perhaps, but sometimes something being advertised with short notice and needs to be seen by maximum people needs to be on the general forum! Rant over, cheers

Damned if we do and damned if we don't.

It is an event and hence moved to the events section. The event is on 11 Oct so a good few weeks away so it's not a short notice happening.

There are 4000 plus members on the forum and given it's popularity it is an uphill task trying to ensure posts are in the right section. We don't always get it right and sometimes things are missed.

My advice to anyone is when they log onto the forum that they press the new post tab.... That way they will see all new posts since they last logged in so will not miss anything

Point taken and I have moved it back for a while. We try to give everyone a little while on the main page and then move them, just happened to do a batch all together. Will leave it for a few days before it takes its rightful place in events.

Does beg the question - as to why the various sections are there then.....

Back to the pub....

Is the snug for pets and lovely fluffy stuff?
Is the lounge bar for food and booze - restaurant reviews?
Is the public bar for slanging matches - internet providers - immigrants et al?
Is the car park for fights and moody gear?

This is only meant to be light hearted banter BTW.

If you want something out of its category to be viewed by all, then try buying a sticky, that's what it is there for and also helps keep the forum running.

As the thread in question was posted by me as a service to the board's members and I have no financial connection with the event... I don't think anyone should expect me to fund an advert for them.
