The ceremony for the water project with Erdogan and other dignitaries will take place tomorrow, Oct 17th at 2pm, not 28th as previously stated.

That answers my question before I ask it!
Yesterday (Saturday 17th) we drove from Karsiyaka to Ercan to fly out; from Karsiyaka all the way to the start of the Girne bypass, we saw policeman standing by the roadside (each about half a mile apart).
Later, while sat on the plane at Ercan, we saw an honour guard waiting, and just before we took off, two Sea King-type helicopters landed - I wondered whether it was the man himself!

Are the pumps on now, and does the flow look more than it did at first?

We went over today on our way to Guzelyurt and it still looks like the un-pumped flow from a few days ago....
