Maybe you could have one made the upholsterers are used to making awnings, soft tops for jeeps/boats etc?

I bought one from Pitstop in Catalkoy a couple of years ago and have seen them in China Bazarr since then

I found car covers deteriorate quite quickly in Cyprus. The sun and/or heat make the covers brittle and they tear, break up. Better than nothing, but be prepared to replace fairly regularly if leaving the car covered under direct sunlight. I now garage my car with a cover over it. Not had to replace the cover for some years now, so it probably is the direct sunlight that does them in.

Nayab nasir in Lefkosa advertising unused one on Facebook sales north Cyprus for 60 tl.

My [expensive!] experience is that the ones from Homebase [South] don't last more than a coupla three weeks before they fly to bits - obviously can't stand the heat/ultra-violet!

The question is: what material can, whilst not expected to be impervious, last a reasonable time in Cyprus?

If this can be established, then local upholsterers could tailor-make them to suit individual vehicles.

There is one for sale on facebook sales north cyprus to fit a focus sized car or you can buy in Girne round the back of tin pan alley kind of opposite Beyti restaurant. It's a car spares place. I cannot remember the name but the man speaks English and is very helpful. We paid 170tl for one to fit a Kuga.
