Cancer is not a word high on anyone’s list of things they want to hear, however, my wife went for a well woman check up at the Near East Hospital and ovarian cancer was detected, she felt no symptoms at all. She was operated on in the Near East Hospital Nicosia and no praise is high enough for the treatment she received there. We both give heartfelt thanks to Dr
Baris Kaya, Dr Kalsim Arslan and all the cheerful, supportive and expert staff at the hospital….wonderful people.
Early days yet but my wife is well on the road to recovery , thank goodness she went for the check up, and we thank the hospital and all the many friends who have supported us.

I had an operation for skin cancer three weeks ago at Near East and I can not praise the hospital enough. The facilities are superb, Dr Orgun and all the nursing staff were excellent, and I felt the hospital was very clean with a low risk of infection (they even disinfected the wheels on the trolley once I was passed to the operating theatre staff. )
I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Best wishes Turkey to your wife for a speedy recovery.
I also had a skin cancer operation recently at Near East and totally agree with the above comments.Dr Orgun is first class and has a good sense of humour. His registrar is NHS trained and has fluent English and assists him during procedures. Hospital is clean and once you sort out the payment plan everything runs smoothly. Like to say the local,Kyrenia Branch are also very professional and we have great respect for Dr Turk and Dr Shelim. Long may it last.
