New Shopping Mall near Ercan

Hi All,

Does anybody know if the Mall is fully functioning now, with all shops open. Thinking of having a trip over there but not if only half the shops are open.

Called in in 3 weeks ago, pretty much all open inc food court, but not until later in the day.

Very good supermarket, travel agents, shoe shops and others.

I think the majority of shops open at 10am, supermarket earlier, can't remember exactly.

Bimeks opened last weekend, big shop selling electrical and technology products. There is also a yapi market and a big toy shop. The supermarket is part of a large 1001, but personally I still prefer Eruklu. Register at the information desk and you will get a free gift for every 50 lira you spend in each shop. Don't go at the weekend though, it's heaving! The food court is good and the toilets are 5*.

The idea being I suppose is to persuade people from this side shopping down South. So many people seem to go to Jumbo etc for toys. I really hope it works. Mind you if you enjoy wandering around Debenhams, Zara, Next and the like then people are still going to cross over.

Where exactly is the Mall in relation to Ercan airport?

On the right opposite the Ercan turn off coming from Lefkosia

From Lefkosa take the Ercan turning, at the garage, which is on the left hand side of road you will need to do a u turn and come the other side of the dual carriageway, the shopping mall will then be the first turn off on your left.
