Does anyone know what happens if you're not in Cyprus when the MOT for the car is due? Thanks.

you get a small fine.........nothing to worry about really, in our experience, and we live here but just missed our dates, which were not actually 3 years after the first one, so best not to rely on that theory....check at the tax office, or ask at a service garage, they will know.

Ive got 2012 MOT dates here by the computer, so if you send your registtration letters I'll let you know which date it is this year. It seems to have moved rather - less than 3 years now. We were Dec and are now Oct. so worth checking in case you are still here!!

Carian - your date is between 4.10.2012 and 17.10.2012 - which looks to be not good for you!

Please note that Private cars are group D - Özel means 'Private' in this context

The other groups are for commercial vehicles, taxis, motorbikes, and so on.

So all private car owners should use part 'D' of the table.

Registration "EV" should end 19/9, and next set of registrations start 20/09

My car was last tested Sept 2010 According to the chart it is due this year i thought the mot was valid for 3 years.

If you bought the vehicle after its last MOT, it is possible that it was late for that MOT...

If not, I've no idea!
