HI Mike,
Just to update you, had a private message from someone saying we should have checked the chip. I explained here for week and was told KAR would not take it, so have said to the person that suggested that, that if they want to liaise with you to move it on contact you, as I am only here for a week.
I explained that it was skinny and we all thought that someone driven to where UK people were to dump it. Obviously she done a pm so doesn't want her suggestion on forum, so I will PM her name in case she contacts you.
Try and help a creature and can't do right from wrong, no wonder people start not to bother!

With all the missing pets, I think it's a fair point to check whether the dog is chipped or not. I remember someone posted on here about taking on a seemingly stray dog in Catalkoy and then the 'owners' got the police involved. When I found a dumped dog in Esentepe a few months ago we went to the police and vet plus put pictures up around the village because it could have been a lost dog. It's in the new owners best interest to check, especially as the dog responds to Turkish commands, you don't want someone to accuse you of stealing the dog...

Mikelapta I know about the dog in Catalkoy and the people who were accused of stealing it. If anyone claims this dogs as their's, I would ask to see photos of them with the dog ,and their vets registration documents and annual Beli registration. Any proof to show that it is their dog!!!
