Hi there,
Would appreciate advice please. People are coming next year for a wedding and some are travelling to Larnaca. They need to know:
a) can they hire a car in the south, drive to the north, and back, and how does insurance work for both sides?
b) if they get a taxi from Larnaca to the border, what would the approximate cost be?
c) how much would car hire be from the north side?
d) are there any road maps that would give directions from Larnaca to the border? and from there to Dipkarpaz
Sorry to be such a div on all this, but guests are asking all sorts of questions that I don't have any answers for, so any advice from helpful Kibkomers would be very much appreciated. I'm honestly wondering whether it would just be easier to come to ercan and hire a car that end, but people seem to think it would be a lot cheaper coming to Larnaca, but would the associated costs wipe out that saving? Thanks to anyone who can give helpful advice!

Q1. Yes. Petsas car hire. The company is on line and will arrange insurance for the north.
Q2. Approx £20 to the Beyamadu crossing.
Q3. Impossible to answer as insufficient information.
Q4. Get them to Google a route from LCA to their destination in Dikarpaz.

I would advise them to do some research for themselves.

Take a look at Sur rent a car Bogaz Iskele, they will arrange taxis from larnaca and you collect your car when coming through Bogaz.

When I fly into Larnaca I always use Kyrenia Taxis they are very reliable and I have never had a problem http://www.kyreniataxiservices.com/ They also do reasonable car hire.

We have used http://www.birdrentacar.com for 12 years for taxi transfers from Larnaca,and Ercan. then hire the car from them here. They also have a minibus 18seater a 30 seater coach and a 50 seater coach. Everything they do for you is a pleasure not a chore. We can highly recommend them.

I can also recommend birdrentacar, we have been using them for 10+ years, whether we fly to Ercan or Larnaca, we have also found them to be the cheapest.
getting them to collect you at Larnaca takes all the pressure off after your trip too
